On Thursday, March 8th Dr Nasr al-Hariri, head of the Syria Negotiation Commission (HNC) said, “Mass war crimes are being committed by the regime and its allies in full view of the world”.
Al-Hariri wrote on Twitter, “The United Nations and the Security Council need to make deterrent and serious decisions to force the regime and its allies to fully comply with the international community resolutions”.
In another tweet, al-Hariri emphasized, “After agreeing on all details, the Syrian regime hindered the agreement which provides for the exit of al-Nusra front fighters from eastern Ghouta”. He indicated, “The regime is using terrorism as a pretext”.
Meanwhile, the Syrian and Russian warplanes continue to pound eastern Ghouta, claiming the lives of nearly 1000 people and injuring thousands of others in the past three months, in what could be described as a blatant violation of the 30-day ceasefire resolution ordered by the UN security council.
