Convoy of Evacuees Arrives to Idlib from Rural Homs

On Thursday, May 10th the 2nd convoy of evacuees from rural Homs arrived to the crossing in rural Qalat al-Madiq in western rural Hama. The convoy was stranded in regime-held areas in eastern rural Aleppo before it was diverted to Idlib province.

SY24 correspondent reported, “The 2nd convoy carrying evacuees from rural Homs that has been stranded in regime-held areas near al-Bab city east of Aleppo, and diverted to rural Hama and Idlib, has arrived to al-Madiq crossing on Thursday”.

Nearly 2803 people, including women and children, have been evacuated from Talbiseh and Rastan cities in rural Homs and arrived to the crossing in 59 buses.

The 1st convoy of evacuees from Talbiseh and Rastan arrived to opposition areas in rural Aleppo last Tuesday, May 8th. Nearly 3391 military and civilian evacuees, including 1191 men, 809 women and 1307 children, have arrived to the area from Abu Zindein crossing near al-Bab city.

This has come following an agreement between the negotiating committee in Homs and Russia to evacuate all fighters who don’t want to reconcile with the Syrian regime.
