Wael Alwan, the spokesman for Failaq al-Rahman, announced that Failaq al-Rahman has reached a ceasefire deal in Eastern Ghouta with the United Nations.
“The most important points under negotiation with the UN are a ceasefire, ensuring aid for civilians and the exit of medical cases and injured people needing treatment outside Ghouta”, Alwan said.
He added, “We are engaged in arranging serious negotiations to guarantee the safety and protection of civilians”.
Meanwhile, Eastern Ghouta is witnessing to the most violent military offensive since regime siege in 2013. The recent military offensive has killed more than 1,000 civilians in the past month and many more remain in dire need of assistance.
