Scores of civilians were killed and injured in northern rural Idlib, after midnight, in a massive blast of a landmine, remnant of recent clashes between Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and Syria’s Liberation Front (SLF).
SY24 correspondent reported that a landmine detonated killing six people from one family, including women and children, while they were heading to their plot in the outskirts of Tirmanin town in northern rural Idlib.
Syrian Civil Defense teams arrived to the scene immediately to recover the bodies of the victims and hand them over to their relatives.
At least 700 people have been killed in the recent clashes between HTS and SLF which have ended with an agreement between the two parties.
Residents of Idlib and rural Idlib are still, however, living in peril among unexploded ordnance that litters the region as a result of regime shelling, in addition to the recent clashes between HTS and SLF.
On a different note, Russian warplanes launched airstrikes on al-Naqir town in southern rural Idlib, after midnight, killing six civilians and causing significant damage to property.
